    Successful expressions of interest
This is the total number of properties you are interested in for the current advert. It does not include any properties you were interested in from previous adverts. It does not include any that were rejected because you failed to meet the necessary criteria.
    Expressing an interest
This is the process by which you place a bid for an available property. If you meet the allocation criteria for the property you will successfully express an interest in it. If your expression of interest is not successful this could be for a variety of reasons. You may not meet the allocation criteria for the property, your application may not be active or there may be a problem with the website. If you require further information regarding an unsuccessful expression of interest you should contact the Housing Needs Unit on: 020 8921 2941
    Greenwich Homes
The Council's Choice Based Lettings Scheme which allows you to search for Council and Housing Association properties online and in the Council newspaper Greenwich Time. You can express an interest in advertised properties in several ways. You can use this website or you can use the automated telephone number: 020 8921 4340. These lines are open 24 hours a day whilst the edition is open and are charged at a local call rate. If you require assistance expressing an interest in properties you can contact the Housing Needs Unit directly on: 020 8921 2941.
    Advanced search options
You can search by the number of bedrooms a property has, the type of property, i.e House or Flat and finally you can select which postcode the property is located in. NOTE: It is possible to search using a combination of all of these criteria.
    Basket
As you are looking through the property list you can add properties to your basket if you want to come back to them. To add a property to your basket, follow the view details link for the property you are interested in, then follow the add to basket link on the details page. Once you have put a property in your basket, you can then view your basket and confirm your bids.
    Log on
We recommend that you log on to the site using your applicant reference number as soon as you visit the website. This allows you to use all of the available website functions.
    Properties available
The list of Council and Housing Association properties which you can express an interest in whilst the edition is open.
    Editions
The period of time in which properties are advertised. You can check when editions open and close by checking the advertising schedule on the Council website.
    Multiple Viewings
In certain instances more than one person who has expressed an interest in a property may be invited to view the property. If you are one of the people invited to a multiple viewing your position on the list will be clearly indicated on the offer letter that you will receive.
    Registered social landlord
These are Housing Associations which let affordable homes to people on the Council's Housing Register.
    Nominations
Housing applicants whose names have been put forward to a Housing Association or other authority for rehousing.
    Housing Register
A list of eligible people who have applied for rehousing in Greenwich
    Bands
The Housing Register is divided into Bands reflecting whether an applicant has reasonable preference for housing and if so how much. There are three bands A, B and C. Band A is for applicants with reasonable preference because of unsatisfactory housing conditions. Band B is for applicants with reasonable preference who the coucil must prioritise for housing. Band C is for all applicants on the Housing Register.
    Reasonable preference
The Council must provide certain Housing Applicants with an advantage or head start compared to other applicants.
    Property location
When viewing the details of properties in adverts, you can see where the property is located by following the view property location link. This will open a map showing where the property is. There are two options on this page. You can zoom in or out using the cross on the left hand side or you can change the type of map you are looking at. If you click on satellite you will see an overhead photograph of the area, if you use hybrid you can view an overhead photograph with the road names included.
    Important Notice
Please ensure you only bid for properties you are genuinely interested in. If your bid is successful and you then fail to attend the arranged viewing without good reason, your application could be suspended. If you are a priority applicant your priority could be removed.
