Please do not express interest in properties between 3am and 4.30am. Our systems update between this time and your expression of interest may be rejected

From Monday 18th September 2017 you will be required to enter the date of birth of the main applicant when logging in.

Greenwich Homes also called Choice Based Lettings, lists all council and housing association properties available to rent. You must be on the Royal Greenwich housing register in order to rent these properties through Greenwich Homes.

If you are on the housing register you can use this online system to express an interest in a property to rent and manage your bids.

    Search for a property

When there are properties available, use the search links on the left hand side of the screen to:

    • search for a property by postcode

    • search for a particular property size or type

    • browse through all available properties

You can search and bid for properties from 2pm every Wednesday to midnight the following Sunday, unless there are no properties available. This means that you have four days to apply. We will not look at applications until after the closing date each week.

Between Sunday and 2pm on Wednesday, you will not be able to search.

    Types of properties available

We list council homes and housing association properties available at significantly lower than full market rents.

Some housing association properties are advertised for higher rents, up to 80 per cent of the market rent. These are known as affordable housing properties.

    Bid for properties

To bid and manage your bids, you need to log in using your applicant reference number. This is the number on the letter you received when you registered for housing. You cannot bid if you're not on the housing register.

Once you are logged in you can

    • see when the next advert will begin

    • express an interest in properties

    • manage your expressions of interest

    • look at your complete bidding or expression history

You can bid for properties advertised as Affordable Housing in exactly the same way as for other properties. Affordable housing rents are inclusive of the service charge that you will need to pay for the property. If you are successful the housing association may want to check that you have enough income to pay the higher rent, and whether you are working or on benefits. If you are currently a housing association tenant the rent you pay on your present home will not be affected by this change
